Re: How many have had the drive train malfunction error?

They gave me a loaner and towing was free (dragged my car out of my garage - that's a whole other story), but just called to remind me that the 12v battery isn't covered under the warrany and it will be just shy of $600 to replace. I hope that's Canadian dollars! If not, that's truly highway robber...

Re: Will i3s wheels fit an i3 as the offsets seem to be the major difference

It looks like the fender flares fit well and appear to fit the same as they do on the "S". On an i3S, can the edges of the fenders be seen behind the flares as they can with this retrofit? It doesn't appear that the flares provide much additional protection against rocks, mud, etc., being...

Re: How many have had the drive train malfunction error?

That's interesting because I've had about 4 of the errors in the past couple of weeks and now my car is completely dead in my garage! BMW is towing it to the dealer in about an hour and giving me a loaner. The service guy said it may take a while to diagnose. I told him that it seemed like the 12v ...

Re: Is the advance real time traffic for your I drive worth it.

Just wanted to know if upgrading to the real time traffic for $70 a year was worth it. This might depend on where you drive. Here in Honolulu, ARTTI is usually old and outdated making its value questionable. ARTTI has warned me about traffic accidents ahead on multiple occasions, yet I have never e...

You must post the photo to a Website with public access and surround by the "Img" tag the URL of the photo itself (frequently with a "jpg" or jpeg" file extension) rather than the Web page.

These URL's are for a generic i3. The home page of this Website allows one to specify a specific i3 by VIN or by manufacture date. Re: i3 or i8 or Tesla Replacement? - Revero Rex

I came across this link the other day and I am trying to figure out where this car fits in the market. https://karmavancouver.com/revero/ Think more luxurious and much more expensive Chevy Volt but with a REx system that operates like that of an i3 REx (i.e., no direct connection of the REx engine ...

Re: Soon to be 2015 i3 REX owner low miles, purchase, BIMMER CODER?

Has anyone noted or measured if using the REX while driving does that degrade the battery packs faster? I assume faster battery degradation since the battery pack is charging while discharging energy for use at the same time. Nope. That's not the way it works. Consider a plumbing analogy in which t...

Re: Precondition batteries without charging

In places like HI, the dealers may never decide to spec a vehicle with the heated seats. You'd think so, but you'd be wrong. I think the heated seat and battery pack option is now standard. However, it wasn't in 2014. Living in Honolulu, I didn't want to pay for this option but finding BEV's withou...

Re: How many have had the drive train malfunction error?

I think there are two different versions of the 12V battery. Mine is the 20Ah AGM battery. I believe that all North American i3's were delivered with a 20 Ah AGM battery. The 40 Ah flooded-cell "warranty replacement" battery listed in RealOEM is physically too large to fit in the i3's bat...
