Am in no way related to these guys and have a REx myself. Looks like professional grade (PU coated stainless steel) to me. The earlier version referred to is a prototype of the same thing. Am having similar thought process. Also wondering could I improve acceleration by running smaller circumference? Am not using top speed anyway... . The rear tire wear is due to the factory setting of rather high negative camber rear. Top of tire is pointing inward as views from rear. If you want to significantly reduce wear, have your dealer dial down the negative camber in rear from -1.6 to the bottom of the values still allowed by BMW around ...
