Re: Metal shaving in cylinder 2

CSP, thanks for the update.

Seems like a serious problem with the Rex if it has occurred repeatedly.

I guess they didn't tell you what they think is going on with the engine?

What sort of loud noise did you hear at the end?

That's the version I am using too.

Have you tried to send a command to car through the app? Perhaps a flash of the lights to see if the app is working in that direction.

i3 or i8 or Tesla Replacement? - Revero Rex

I came across this link the other day and I am trying to figure out where this car fits in the market. https://karmavancouver.com/revero/ Seems to have similar electric range to our older i3's of about 50 miles but has a bigger gas tank so you can go 300 miles total. Has a 21kW battery as well. They...

Re: Eucalyptus Not Being Sold?

I wonder if the dark brown wood from the i3s would become available? That would be another wood option. https://www.google.com/search?q=bmw+i3s+interior&hl=en-CA&authuser=0&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=cMi1XFjpjScRWM%253A%252CP6AZWqEXqMsuJM%252C_&usg=AI4_-kTjv6UEIYTSLVaJ...

Re: Grill color / Grill change

I have the same year, model and colour and really like it. I just put my winter wheels one and they are all black which changes the look completely. The non-blue accents appear to come from the i3s models. Easy way to tell if it an "S" is the black fender flares. If you want to delete the ...

Re: Car-jacking that ended in hours

Since the location tracking doesn't work while the car is moving, adding a secondary tracking system may be something to consider. If the car was stolen, the thieves would need to be smart enough to steal these cars. They would be able to disconnect the 12 volt battery, which would disable the onboa...

Re: BMW remote app not working

Not sure what cell service BMW uses, by my AT&T iPhone shows full-bars in the garage where the car is parked. We are half--block from a 10 story bank building the top of which is bristling with multiple cell antenna. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the App just now. Zero change. Loggin...

Re: New 2015 Rex CPO Owner with a sad story - still developing.

Hi MKH, what you suggest is exactly what I requested to BMW of America and the dealer. They refuse to replace the items. I am fine with the rim repair. At this junction, I am not sure how to compel them to replace these parts with new ones. It is a cheap fix. Any ideas? You could get some low cost ...

Re: BMW remote app not working

The newer connected app does seem to be a bit slow in updating the current SOC and Range. It does eventually catch up if there was usage from the last time I checked it. Otherwise the "last updated" info will show as old. The old remote app is quite a bit quicker to update. If the signal f...

Re: Winter traction in an i3

I put my new winter setup on yesterday. The weather channel was predicting some snow so I thought I had better get at least one of our cars ready. As it turned out, we just got rain. During my swap, I had a chance to look a few things over. I noticed that the rotors were starting to look a bit too r...
