Great news the new better battery i3 has dropped in price to 49k,us without the rex engine as it's not required with the extra battery distance. The only i3 we could buy was with the rex engine at 56k,us. Pricing includes all sales tax and on road cost.
New Zealand does not have subsidies on anything sold which I agree.
As the i3 is a business car we receive the 15% sales tax back as well a business tax refund of 28% back over 3 years.
Cost would be $31,079us at the end of 3 years. This would mean the car will be cost natural as the second hand price will be 33k
If I add a rex engine the i3 would be the same price as the old model.
