Can you get driving directions on the driver's screen? Battery status on idrive screen?

Just curious because I saw it on a few videos and was wondering how to do it.

To display details of the next turn, enable the split screen view by moving the iDrive controller to the right repeatedly (only possible with the Technology package). Choose the arrow screen to be displayed in the split view.

To display the charge level %, press the button at the end of the turn signal stalk repeatedly to cycle through the choices, one of which is the charge level %.

All of this is described in the Driver's Guide, a version customized for the options on your car being available as a free smartphone app or within iDrive.
