Seats tearing?

My I3's seats have been tearing, pretty reliably, every 4-8 months. The first time it happened when I bought the car, It took lots of back and forth to get it replaced. Now, almost three years later, it is still happening, even after multiple seat covering replacements. I've spoken with the Genius, and escalated to customer relations at this point, as it has yet to be fixed "properly". I've never owned a vehicle with seats that were this fragile. (incl similar faux leather seats of my mini)

Has anyone else here had similar problems with the faux leather trim of their i3?

I had this on my driver's seat and they replaced it under warranty.

Mine have been replaced under the warranty as well, but it just keeps happening.
