Most, not all, i3's sold outside of the NA market do not use the J1772 connector, so you wouldn't be able to plug it into the car!

....That is what adapters are for.... https://www.evseadapters.com/products/us-european-type-1-j1772-to-type-2-iec-mennekes-ev-adapter

FWIW, every connection will have some slight resistance to it. That normally isn't a big deal except when you start to draw heavy current through it. You're just asking for big problems if you stack multiple adapters in series. This is one reason why none of the EVSE manufacturers recommend the use of an extension cord...it causes problems. An example...Ford just recalled nearly all of the EVSE's it supplied with their cars and are replacing them with one that has a thermistor in it to detect overheating from loose/corroded connections and prevent potential fires. Search the forum for people that have had problems with their plug-in EVSE's and narrowly escaped a fire.

Now, could you tear apart that first adapter and substitute the plug in use in your area? Yes, and it would eliminate two connections, but, in general, adapters are problematic with high current devices.

I just got it and it works great for the first time I used it with my Tesla mobile charger. I have BMW i3 2014 BEV
