CCS 'goo'

Saturday evening I was running a benchmark and got back to town at ~45% SOC. I pulled into the downtown, CCS; plugged in, and; went to get a light, evening supper. When I got back, I disconnected and there was a 'goo' between the plug and socket. HUH?

I have no idea what the former critter might of been but slug came to mind. Dark, I'll do a closer inspection in the morning and put a roll of paper toilet paper in the car. Yes I prefer paper towels but TP can do things that are 'inconvenient' with paper towels (especially if you're married.)

The only thing I can think of is that it might be dielectric grease. It helps prevent arcing of the terminals and moisture problems.
