Interstate 5 Trip from LA to San Jose and back

Has anyone tried this trip in the i3? If so, how did you do it with the chargers? Plug Share shows a lot of Tesla Superchargers available and not as many DC Fast Chargers.

I was thinking maybe on ECO Pro+ I might be able to get to Paso Robles, to fill up and charge? They have a DC Fast Charge off the 101 near Paso. If I can't get that far, it seems a detour via Bakersfield could make it happen in 2 stops?

Any experience doing this or thoughts within the group? My trip is in March and I am hoping to avoid renting an ICE car. I could of course just top off the gas tank a two or three times if I really need to.

No need to take i5; take 101: way more charging stations, not much slower, better scenery and breweries. Avoid 99 like the plague.
