Can't get bimmercode to connect to Vgate

I had the airbag recall work done yesterday on my 2014 i3 Rex and went to enable my settings with BimmerCode and I can't get the Vgate bluetooth ODB adapter to connect to the app. It also does not show up in the bluetooth menu on my iPhone. When I first plug the Vgate in the lights flash on it but then it changes to just two red lights. Pushing the button on the face of the adapter does nothing. I tried it before or after hitting the start button. I tried following the instructions in the quick start guide with no luck.

Did something change in the firmware up date that impacts the ODB adapter? This all worked when I got the i3 last November.

Never mind! It's been so long since I did this I forgot I had the wifi version of the Vgate no the bluetooth one. Things work just fine via wifi.
