I'm not sure how interesting this post is going to be for people as I was driving when I had this conversation .... so I afraid its a bit thin on detail!

.... anyway here goes, there will be 6 Colours at launch.

A White ( I forgot to ask if it was Metallic - I assume not) - see next link below.
2 Greys ...... One I assume is the Bronzy Grey we've seen in the spy shots - the car with the upgraded wheels - the other could be that Grey we saw with the White car and I thought was raw CFRP unpainted - it could have actually been a production colour!

2 Silvers ......... One is called Ionic - which is mentioned by Scott26 as the car with standard wheels so it is what I would called the traditional White Silver

Ionic Silver pictured here ....... scroll down to Scott26's post.

........and Solar Orange ..... which again is not the Series 1 colour Valencia Orange.

As I thought these would be current BMW Colours I didn't pay that much attention the exact names but it appears none of the colours are existing BMW ones - not that I can find anyway. So we'll need to wait for the chart/samples before the names mean anything.

Interestingly there's no Light Blue (as per first Concept) or any Blues for that matter ..... or Reds ....... or Black.

Not sure its the same the World over but NO Black BMW i3 means the i3 is obviously not designed to travel 4" from the car in front on the outside lane of the Motorway!

All with black bonnets?

Looks like that's standard Yes........ but was told there is large scope for customisation..... so presumably you could have it another colour or body Colour if you wish - probably a cost option.

One thing I did notice in the Thermoplastic body painting video - was there were no bonnets - just side panels - so not sure where they are painted.

Parker: The dark gray seen in the spy shot is painted I believe. The body panels aren't carbon fiber, but thermoplastic, painted separately from the car and are removable to repair/replace. So my guess is that is a dark gray/near black color.

Here are pictures of an i3 with the Solar Metallic Orange paint:

When I said the i3 wasn't available in light blue (as per the original Concept) I might have been wrong.

Looking at all the cars in http://www.completecar.ie/testdrives/article/BMW/i3/pre-production_i3/619/2709

it looks like the cars have the following colours ........

2 Greys = 1) the very dark almost Black Grey, and 2) the Bronze Grey.
2 Silvers = 1) the standard White Silver and 2) a very Light Blue Silver - it could be the light ..... but I don't think so.

Plus ........ Solar Orange .......and White

I put together a list of pictures of all the colors we've seen so far. Parker's information about there being six colors is looking solid:
