Re: Newbie Question - Finding miles used with ReX !

The BMW ConnectedDrive web page (at least the US version) also has "Electric distance driven" which seems to be similar to the iRemote one. This is under >Status->EDrive services->Efficiency. However, mine is showing a very low number - I must have reset the values sometime in the past - so don't press on the "Reset vehicle data" - I just confirmed that it does zero out everything (since my data is already useless). Maybe someone who has the iRemote app can check whether this is reporting the same value.

It shows the electric distance driven since you last charged.

That wasn't the case with my page - it was showing 6k miles before I reset it. There is a section "All Trips" which has 4 graphs: Electrical consumption, Regenerative braking energy, Electric distance driven, & Maximum distance driven on one charge. The "Electric distance driven" is what I was talking about. I shows a max value of 104459.7, so someone must have 104k miles with their i3.

I can confirm that the connected drive webpage shows total electric miles driven. Oddly I couldn't find total miles on the web page, but the App (on android) shows total as does the car of course.

Eureka! :idea:

So, though the ConnectDrive App doesn't show total electric miles driven, the ConnectDrive web page does, under:
Status > eDrive services > Efficiency

Thanks guys!

I'm so sorry, I mistook webpage for app. Thanks! My website definitely shows the data too.

BTW, one can get the current battery kappa Max from the ConnectedDrive web page - no need to go into the car hidden menu. I know how to do this in Chrome, not sure about the other browsers. Just open the Developer tools window - from the Chrome menu - More tools > Developer tools. This will open a side window with some source of the current page. If you are in the >"eDrive services" on the web page you will see a var block under servelet/eNavigation like this:

var comp_market = 'US';
var comp_vin = 'WBY1Z4C57EVXXXXXX';
var comp_dcOnly = 'true';
var comp_lat = 'XXX';
var comp_lng = '-XXX';
var comp_soc = '16.930999755859375';
var comp_rangeMap = 'RANGE_POLYGON';
var comp_socMax = '17.14';
var comp_chargingLevelHv = '100';
var comp_vehicleMoving = false;
The battery kappa Max is the socMax value which for my 4 year old REX is showing 17.14.

This is interesting and easy to get.

I tried Safari first but no luck looking for page source so I got this from Chrome which is a bit more open source.

I wonder what the difference is between "var comp_soc" and "var comp_socMax"?

var comp_market = 'US';
var comp_vin = 'WBY1Z4C55FZZXXZZ1';
var comp_dcOnly = 'true';
var comp_lat = '94.25294';
var comp_lng = '-211.77712';
var comp_soc = '18.62299919128418';
var comp_rangeMap = 'RANGE_POLYGON';
var comp_socMax = '18.6';
var comp_chargingLevelHv = '100';
var comp_vehicleMoving = false;

Thanks for all the comments. The web ConnectedDrive (vs the App) was the perfect solution.

It would have been years before I worked that out.

What a brilliant forum !

Cheers, Finchie

What’s the web connected drive URL that you’re using to see these “hidden” stats?
