Now that their taking orders on the MY2017 i3 with the bigger battery I'm hoping that there are some pretty decent discounts on 2015 or 2016 leftovers. Has anyone snagged a good deal with portable discounts I could leverage in Texas?

Thanks for any info.

You should expect 15-20% off the 2015s; at least that's what we were seeing here in California back in May. They're mostly gone at this point other than a few demos.

Dealers don't seem to (yet) be budging more than 10% off the 2016s. I think when they see their July numbers tank and the 2017s actually start hitting the lot, then the fire sale will finally begin.

There are a few N.O.S. 2015 REx locally, but the dealers are not entertaining anything near 20% off MSRP before incentives. The best I've found so far is 14.5% off the top + $2000 buildout cash.

Cast a wider net. Put on your road-trip adventure hat. As you know, where there's more supply, there's less demand. But it might not be in Texas.

I heard (unconfirmed) that $2000 support from BMW on 2015s is discontinued, so the party may be over. Anyway, 20% off and $2000 is probably too much to ask. My car was $54500, the negotiated price was $47000 and I also had $1500 off through my employer. I talked to many Mid Atlantic dealers, and that was the best deal I could find. The wife had to have the back up camera, and it limited my choices, several dealers didn't have the car I needed. By the way, go heavy on options. With the discounts they don't affect the payments that much. I wouldn't buy a 2016 right now, before the dealers will have the 2017s on their lots.

Note that the larger battery is not standard on the 2017 MY, it is optional. As a result, given nothing else really changes other than color options and availability of the sunroof, there isn't as much incentive to discount them.

Sorry, I'm ignorant about leasing details. Is $239.53/mo the total cost of the lease? (i.e. $239.53 * 30 = $7186 total out of pocket for 30 months) or is that the payment after some amount down, etc.
