I know the documented way you are supposed to cancel a continuous turn signal - press slightly on turn signal lever in the opposite direction that is being indicated. But, how often have you ended up setting a full turn signal in the other direction? I seem to do that often.
I think a better way would be to simply set the turn signal again in the same direction as originally set. In other words, press the lever once to set the turn signal; press it again in the same direction to cancel the turn signal. This is much easier than trying to press the lever in the opposite direction "just far enough but not too far", especially when driving in heavy traffic and you're trying to concentrate.
