Anyone found somebody who can do a decent job of reupholstering seats in the UK? The only place that seemed interested that I found was called: Seat Surgeons, but they need the existing seats for 3-4 weeks (see below):

Unfortunately we do not have the pattern for the BMW i3.
All our manufacturing is done at our factory in China. We can trim the seats for you but we will need to send your original seat covers to the factory where they will be digitised and a pattern made. This process takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks and there will be an additional fee for this process of £200 on top of the cost of the interior.
The cost to trim in standard leather, any colour or combination of colours will be £950.00 + VAT.

Are you wanting to change from what is offered factory? You can buy the various OEM seat covers to replace damaged ones (or to change out from fabric to leather, etc.) from BMW as parts.

In the first section, click on "Show More", then scroll down through a complete listing of the various seat material options.

eg. "Cover, seat, cloth/leather left (bottom seat)" is part number 52107365695

You can then take those part numbers to your local BMW dealer

They do show up on ebay too

Thanks for the links chaps.

It looks like going down the OEM route will cost more than 4x aftermarket. I guess I'll just have to see if I can find away to be without the car for a few weeks

If you are looking for just one seat cover piece, check with salvage yards. Had a friend who had an actual hole about an inch across burned into his BMW 320i seat, and half an inch deep (ember from a campfire on a camping trip that blew in his open window when parked). BMW wanted over $1K for a new seat-bottom, foam and cover. He found a wrecker with one - cost him $100.

kc1 I'll have two front seats in pale grey cloth for sale soon. They're from a 4.5k-miles i3 and are in perfect condition. I'm swapping-in two carbon bucket seats.
