Keyfob falls apart...

I'm about to do a lease return but both my keyfobs have fallen apart... Those little silver colored plastic strips. (See photo in link above)
I don't like the idea of being potentially charged 2*$430 for what appears to be a manufacturing fault on a $0.01 piece of plastic.
I could try glue or pulling apart a $100 for from eBay.
Any opinions or other options?
 
The car should still be under warranty...maybe they'll replace them that way. I did have one fail, and they replaced it for free, but that was a total function failure, not cosmetic.
 
The stuff on the right of each photo?

That looks like a water-proof, plastic cover that is (was) possibly after market or applied to protect the fob. Peel it all off and no problem.

I'm pretty sure that's just sticky tape holding it all together, Bob! :D
