Temp control indicator

Sat Feb 02, 2019 7:39 am

I own a '14 BEV here is SoCal. On a cool morning, when I am heating the cabin while driving, I note that the temperature selection control indication is orange/red in color but that as the trip progresses, the color goes to white. What is this change indication to me? I assume it has to do with hitting the set point or something similar.

I thought the color change was based on the lights, orange with the lights off and white with the lights on.

It may be temp sensitive, I will have to check that out next drive.

Yeah it's based on the light sensor. Orange is easier on the eyes in the dark than white light.

I am pretty sure that it doesn’t have tondo with the lights... turn them on manually and there is no change. Only if it has to do with the ambient light sensor...

The nav screen mode, lighting - both instrument and external (assuming you're on auto) change with the ambient lighting.
