Re: Is Flexible Mobility still active?

I contacted BMW iConsierge and they were quick to respond but the response I got is not good :-( The program is dead. "The BMW i Flexible Mobility Program was a program that offered the complimentary use of a conventionally fueled BMW vehicle from your BMW i Center for several days each calendar yea...

Is Flexible Mobility still active?

I just learned that the one dealer that was still participating in the Flexible Mobility program has discontinued their participation. The other local dealer here in Cincinnati stopped a year ago. Was wondering if BMW NA has stopped the program altogether or its just dealers exiting? Either way not ...

Re: Bimmercode and changing when the Rex comes on.

The number there is in hex in half percent increments 0C HEX = 12 DEC = 6%. If you want to change it to 10% that would be 20 DEC = 14 HEX. But some have reported that after changing this value the small triangle on the display moves in the new position but the REX still turns on at 6%, so it might n...

Did they waive any of the charge they previously quoted for the diagnostic work?

Re: 2014 i3 getting only ~40 miles on full charge

14.2 is low. My kappa hovers around 17 in this cold whether - 20's. When it gets above 40 it goes close to 18. maybe take it to the dealer and tell them you want to claim battery replacement under warranty due to degradation so they take it more seriously. They should be able to perform a more relia...

Re: 2014 i3 getting only ~40 miles on full charge

This is also a 2014 REX - my wife's work commute is about 48 miles and we've seen very low temperatures here recently - 20's and even 10's F. In these temperatures the range is around 45 miles - the REX kicks in for a short time period. If it gets up to 30-40 F the battery can handle it. Her efficien...

Re: Plugging a flat - lessons learned

Thanks for the tutorial. My wife got the exact same screw last week, was close enough to home to bring the car in. Took the wheel to Costco to use their hazard warranty, they fixed it within 1/2 hour, free of charge. I also have the same plug kit in both out cars but have not had a chance to use yet...

Re: Tire tread in opposite directions.

The winter tires are directional but the all-seasons are side oriented - there is one side designated with "Outside" which needs to be outside :-) This will give the impression that the tread is going in the wrong direction as it is not completely symmetric but that is OK. So, for the all-seasons ma...

Re: Battery Replacement Under Warranty

That Kappa Max seems low. Our 2014 REx (28k miles since Nov '14) is showing around 17 kWh (16.6 - 17.5) in the last month and temperature here have been low. Range hovers around the 50 miles due to the cold, and my wife's commute is also 48 miles one way - she can consistently charge at work. I have...
