Re: ACC/Front Collision/Pedestrian systems not working on 2014 Rex

For example, I wonder if I hooked up a multimeter to check the voltage of the battery whether that would definitively tell me it's failing or not. If you have a 12 V battery charger, turn off the high-voltage disconnect and fully charge the 12 V battery. Then measure its resting voltage several hou...

Re: Getting into rear seats by folding front seats only?

I think it would be very difficult, maybe even with the front seat slid all the way forward. The front door isn't nearly as wide as the front door on a 2-door car with rear seats. The closed rear door would make rear seat access difficult. Maybe a slender flexible person could get in, but I've never...

Re: Onboard charger only 3.2kw at 2017 94AH i3?

Your i3 appears not to have the second on-board 3.7 kW charger which would be option "S4U8A Rapid Charging Alternating Current" in a U.S. i3. However, maybe the second charger would be included in a different option for a European i3, so hopefully a European i3 owner will clarify.

Re: Set a maximum charge limit

On a Chech forum they wrote that the max. voltage of the 60 Ah battery is 392 V while the 120 Ah battery is 402 V. The 60 Ah i3 software didn't accept the higher voltage of the replacement battery (120 Ah) as such. The maximum battery pack voltage on BMW's TIS Website: 60 Ah: 395 V 94 Ah: 398 V 120...

Re: Set a maximum charge limit

Dispite many other statements, the i3 does not hold back a buffer at the higher end of the cell voltage range. The buffer only prevents exhaustive discharge. You are basing your assertion on the output of the Electrified app that indicates a battery pack voltage of 402 V, and then you assume that t...

Re: Covid

I'm 77 and must be careful not to injure myself during weight training (been there, done that), so lots of reps of moderate weight rather than heavy weights. With a herniated lumbar disk, running irritates my sciatic nerve, so I haven't run in 37 years :( Three times each week, I walk up a 2.2-mile ...

Re: "Insufficient Grid Power" error at beginning of charging

Have you measured the voltage of your AC Level 2 charging circuit? Maybe the voltage in your neighborhood is low at times.

I've been on this board since 2015 and a non-dealer EME repair is something that I've not read about before.
At least one company in Europe advertises EME repair, so repairing an EME seems possible..
