Re: new household plug for level 1 charging - how many amps?

get the level 1 (120 v AC) plug in 20 amps, especially it is a new install which the cost different between 15 amps and 20 amps is almost nothing. You can set the charging to maximum without any issue.

Re: DCFS Level 3 charging not reliable

The folks in the Harley store is pretty nice and they don't mind any other EV to charge either. That station is charging 10 cents/min with 24kW output. the cost is reasonable, if it actually works. They don't know why it does not work for the i3 either, and suggest me to contact Chargepoint for supp...

Dear frictioncircle, Thanks for the tips and sharing your experience. I will call up BMW genius Monday to see if they can help about the DCFC charging issue. My local BMW doesn't do anything goodwill since they need cash in the maintenance dept all the time. They were looking to sell me an oil chang...

Re: How long do you plan to keep your I3?

I planned to keep my 14' BEV, about 50K mile, (turning 5 years old in Dec) till it falls apart. The resell value is so low that there is no point to sell or trade. The GOM is now reading 60miles in Comfort mode (80 in eco+) measured in 90 degree day in summer. My other ICE (Nissan and Lexus) are 23 ...

Re: cryptic message from BMW connected drive

I got the same email message last month. In my case, it is caused by the communication between the car and BMW Server not working. I found this out because my iRemote in both iPhone and Android not getting latest status from the car, i.e. keep showing the old miles driven and the state of charge fro...
