Re: Sunshades for the windshield that work

I have this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Fit-Win ... 3401171428
It is well made and fits precisely. The center cutout is a bit large, but it helps to clear the mirror when installing or removing.

Re: Some stats for the year of use

The downward trend is worrisome.
I forgot, have you explained how you capture the data?

Re: Range/Battery Degradation - Data Requested

BMW must have a test procedure they use for battery 'health' but no one seems to know exactly what it is. The BMW ISTA+ software has a battery testing procedure. It involves fully discharging with the cabin heater and other accessories and charging to 100%. I haven't tried it and don't know how the...

Re: Portable EVSE Recommendations

You can tell this is a Chinese product, their quality and support are inconsistent. Maybe great, maybe trash. They also often pay for Amazon reviews, so they are not a good indicator of quality. The contactor looks small. I would pick openEVSE, it is priced very close.http://openevse.com/stations.ht...

Re: Serious problem with new BMW ConnectedDrive Website (USA)

Yes, same here. I asked in case I missed something. It is very disappointing, Kappa Max was the monst useful parameter for monitoring the battery data. After all the effort to get it running, I only got about month worth of data.

Re: Serious problem with new BMW ConnectedDrive Website (USA)

I also noticed that user gt1 had problems with his/her automated system from late March thru mid-April. I suspect that s/he was probably using Home Assistant or OpenHAB. BMW USA server had either intentionally or accidentally blocked oauth access from these systems for that period. I had the same i...

Re: The spam here is insane!

1) Throttle posts to one per minute per user, if the forum software allows. Makes cleanup easier when they can only post 60 messages in an hour. The latest spam wave posts ones in two minutes... Excellent advise otherwise. This is a low volume forum, new user premoderation would be the most effecti...

Re: Serious problem with new BMW ConnectedDrive Website (USA)

I use an automatic system to pull the data from BMW. The server went offline on 3/26. It came back up on 4/16, but the Kappa.Max is gone from the data set. Users in other parts of the world still get it.

Re: BEV vs REX

I went from REX to BEV, and one thing I realized only after the purchase was that the battery and related parts warranty for the BEV in CARB states is shorter. CARB requires 10y 150k miles warranty for PHEVs, but not for BEVs. I still think that the BEV is a better choice. i3 is a city car, not well...
