Rotor rust never bothered me but it was a new sound for my girlfriend. Still, it would be nice to get rid of it permanently. Has anyone tried the various aftermarket rotor treatments?

I agree but would add it hasn't been until recently that batteries and power electronics began to approach what was needed with steel+aluminum bodies. Yet the traditional maker EVs continue to make less efficient and overweight. They really haven't adopted EV design rules.
