Re: New i3S Rex available in SW Ohio

i3daytonoh The car has been de-contented since the early years to save money. The standard radio in my new i3 no longer receives FM HD stations, for example. I can't imagine any situation where an i3's radio would stop receiving all HD Radio stations. Have you checked other FM stations in your area...

Re: Very loud REX - any solutions?

My WOF garage complains about the cobwebs in the tailpipe.

What is a "WOF garage"?

Re: Remote control battery discharged - again

From my experience with i3s since 2014 the battery in the fob should last three to four years. If yours is failing within a month I'd first suspect that the fob is bad (an internal short, etc.). My second guess is that when you store your fob one of the buttons is inadvertently getting pressed and h...

Re: New REX owner

I'm not a REx owner so I don't know the specifics of its maintenance cycles. Your profile doesn't mention where you're located, but in the USA, the Sta-Bil line of products has a lot of options for engines that don't run often. I've been using their pink "Fuel Stabilizer" for years and have been ver...

Re: drivetrain malfunction

Hello gqpixel – What's your model year and drivetrain? In general you have some options. First, you could pick up an OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics) reader at your local auto parts dealer. Second, if you have a smartphone / tablet you could buy Bimmerlink and a Bluetooth OBD-II dongle. Both will show ...

Re: A puddle of gas under the rear of the car.

Questions for the OP... was the puddle under the front bumper or the rear bumper? How were you able to determine that the puddle was gasoline? Going on year eight of owning i3s, they drip condensate (water) much more than any other vehicle I've owned. With the heat and humidity that we've been hit w...

Re: Rotten Eggs smells and a hot 12-volt battery

Hello smytherrs –

Wow, I've not seen anyone post about this failure before!

What year is your i3 and is the 12V battery original to the car? They usually last about five years.

Re: Schedule Charging Issue

Hello again, Paulo!

If you have the window sticker, take a look to see if it shows either of the following options:
