Re: Buy or Wait?

Jadnashuanh, I would advise you against going with Hybrids with bigger batteries , except the volt and clarity, as only these two give good performance on battery only mode 0-60 in 8-9 seconds or less in BEV mode Otherwise , They are just a confused driving experience, when i drove the 3/4 series i ...

Re: Renaming profiles

Add a new profile.
I quite do not know what the dash lines profile is , as there is a separate guest profile

Re: Benchmarks: 2014 BMW i3-REx and Standard Range Plus Model 3

My Hold mode in i3 frequently fails or slips in steeper driveway slopes or hilly roads.
Like its on for a second , and then the cars start to roll as if the brake was not effective enough.
Is this a unique problem to me or is it common. Do i need to get it checked. Looks like a software issue

Re: Benchmarks: 2014 BMW i3-REx and Standard Range Plus Model 3

Yes. The model 3 chill mode , is permanently slow. One feature i like in the i3 is the nice override, when you press it hard Do we need to use the breaks in i3 when we change Forward / rear gear , when slow - say under 5 miles ? I like the 3 second brake press activates the hand gear. i use it in ve...

Electric Power Engineers , a Solar PV L2 Question

In US , does any one see any issue , if i directly connect the L2 EV charger to the grid tied Solar inverter 240 output ? I mean , instead of having 2 breakers , one for solar and one for L2 , i just use one common circuit. Some times the power is drawn form grid and some times , from the inverter b...

Re: Comfort Access - car hesitates

The battery in the fob is used every time you get into the car whether you use or even have comfort access. The fob interacts with the car to enable you to start it. If you have comfort access, it is enabled by the field generator when it is close enough to the car. When the battery is getting low,...

Re: Rex Range seems unusually high

REx is purely adding energy to the battery pack, the little gas engine is no more or less efficient based on your driving style, unlike basically every other hybrid and plug-in hybrid. Your efficiency "city" versus "highway" is based on the electric motor. As far as the car is concerned, the REx is...
