Re: How can I confirm that an i3 REx has a wide-screen center display?

If the dealership does not mention the packages and the photos are poor one of the things I did during my search was to use a BMW VIN checking website. For example if you put the VIN from this autotrader car into a BMW VIN checker you can see this car has "S609 Navigation System Professional". If it...

Re: Need a help

I looked this up once and the beep appeared to be generated by the car alarm system and does not use a simple 12V signal but was connected to the CAN bus.

Re: fuel flap cover not working

Interesting that re-calibrating the sensor worked. BMW of North America has issued a 10 year limited warranty on this sensor so it appears they know there is some sort of design/manufacturing flaw.

Re: Roof Rack?

Intetesting I suppose an EV would make a good film camera car as they are fairly quiet, here is another company that has a i3 film car.

Re: New i3 REX owner!!!

I've been very satisfied with my Clipper Creek HCS-40P but I was looking for a simple EVSE without any bells or whistles.

Re: Charging time 2016 60AH

What would be interesting to know is 'For any given EVSE , which power level (kW) is it communicating to the vehicle as it's MAXIMUM Allowable ? ' . 30 Amps is close to our i3's maximum but if the EVSE doesn't allow our maximum then which power level will our i3 step down to ? The ChargePoint stati...

Re: Question on coolant, TPMS

I don't think the i3 will store all the TPMS sensors, however there is an initialization procedure that can be started from the iDrive menu. 3.3.6. Initializing the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) The TPMS is initialized via the iDrive menu. The tire pressures must be initialized if: • The ti...

Re: Location and wiring diagram of the door lock "beep" acoustical device.

I was looking over some of the documentation online and it appears that the door lock beep is actually accomplished by using the i3 alarm horn (fanfare). It is installed just behind the front wheel on the driver side (LHD). https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/obj/1VnXRoa5vz However it appears that this ho...

Re: Removing Silver Accent Stripe?

A member in the Facebook group mentioned removing the silver decal. They wrote: Alan Sluka - Here’s black with the silver stripe removed in case you’re still on the fence about it. Kurt Edelbach - Sweet. Did you use any heat to remove it, or just peel it off? Any residue left? Alan Sluka - Heat, sti...
