Re: 2014 - should I even consider one?

A few more details. If you don't care about the wide screen, you'll have a much easier time locating your car. Most won't have the wide screen. If that's a deal breaker, that should be the first thing you look for when you scroll through photos of i3's for sale. I have a thread on how to buy an i3 a...

Re: 2014 - should I even consider one?

@skeptic. I've done the research. Look no further. 2016 model year was the best value used car in 2018, not just for EV's but cars. With super low mileage and still under warranty, it couldn't be beat. However, as we approached the late 2019 and now 2020 the warranty is all gone for 2016, so the add...

Re: 2016 REx Advice

That's correct. 70mph is about the limit on flat ground where you're pulling more or less the same amount of juice that the generator is able to supply into the electric motor. Gas mileage isn't great on gas on the i3 so it's not the preferred method. Need to remember the whole purpose of it being a...

Re: The longer look down the road

Dear OP, the latter statement is about right. To date, I've only seen photos of a single instance where the batteries were replaced. Keep in mind that they are about $2,200 per cell and there's I believe 8 of them so financially it doesn't make sense to "upgrade" with denser batteries for more range...

Re: 2014 - should I even consider one?

No, you shouldn't consider at 2014 unless it's under $10k. Higher priced ones will in fact have better value. You really want to avoid the first year if possible. 2014's only had DC charging as an option. Chances are that anything you're looking at that's 2014 won't have the DC option at all. Unless...

Re: 2016 REx Advice

The other person answered a lot of the questions, so I think you're good. I'm confused on the 300 mile thing though. You won't get even close to that. Best case scenario, you'll get 110 miles on EV range + maybe 90 miles from the REX (and that's if it's modded). That's 200 miles at best. There's no ...

Re: Rubber trunk mat

I have the Weathertech one but I don't think it'll help with the problem you're having. I would advise to get a hook that attaches to the back of the headrest. You can then hang groceries or bags of whatever w/o worry that it'll tip over. You can also get a net that covers the entire trunk. The trun...

Re: AST lowering springs review + a mouthful of talk about springs

Glad the AST review helped you make your decision. It wasn't meant to convince anyone one way or the either so glad you saw it that way and made a choice of H&R's for your particular interest.
