Re: Limiting total charge % - hidden feature?

Does it charge to 100% if you set the higher charging rates?

Re: Rear door open warning

Thanks for the replies

I'm used to slamming the doors on German cars, my old VW was similar, but the i3 will show 'open' even after a slamming and driving a few miles. Interesting PBNB sees the issue on the RHS more often and that i guess is also the passenger side in Vancouver.

Rear door open warning

I'm increasingly getting warnings about a rear door (usually the RHS) being open on my '15 REX.
Are others seeing a similar issue. Is there a sensor to adjust or clean? Is a trip to the dealer in order (I have a few months of warranty to go).

Re: Serious problem with new BMW ConnectedDrive Website (USA)

I just called their helpdesk and they told me that the web site will no longer show the charging and expected completion times for the i3. Also you can no longer send a street address to the car for navigation from the web site. The web site seems to have no purpose other than advertising BMW servic...

Re: How is your i3's reliability ?

It's too soon to tell based on the entire fleet of i3s what the weak points are, but I've seen the following come up more than once. 1. Range Extender issues (only applicable if your care is so equipped) 2. Climate Control power electronics. 3. Suspension dust covers tearing 4. Interior rattles and...

How is your i3's reliability ?

Hi

I've have an i3 REX for 6 mths now and had no issues, however watching this owners vblog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHDUMhR6HLk made me a little nervous about long term ownership costs.

Is your i3 reliable or usually in BMW's service dept?

Re: steering Wheel became Hard to turn

I mentioned this issue when I took my i3 in for a check up. They ran a diagnostic and found nothing, but the tech mentioned it may be a "vector angle sensor" and may replace it if it happens again.

Driving with passengers in back seat ((350lbs) should affect more, would not it?
but it would be an additional 170 lbs i.e. passengers + extra 170lbs, so it could effect handling (and braking).
