Roof Rack?

So I finally saw an i3 with a roof rack that looks like it can carry a lot!

Re: Driving a 2017 bev 400 miles

If I were to drive a BEV this distance, I would bring my little Honda 2000 inverter along just incase I couldn't find any plugs. I could power my BMW portable charger but it would mean long stops but at least you could keep moving towards your 400 mile goal. Note: the little charger that comes with ...

Re: The spam here is insane!

Dont know of another i3 forum. Life is better without FB. Used to like FB before they went public. This is a very informative forum and it is a shame that spammers are here. Although, I was looking at getting a diploma from the University of Mars :) Perhaps a fee based forum would help weed out the...

Re: Bent rims

The OEM wheels are supposed to be forged so this sort of damage is surprising. Was the hole more like a ditch? What are you going to do for replacements? I saw a full set of wheels on a local Craigslist site for $800 cdn recently. They are the 19" model 427. no tires but a good deal which shows that...

Re: USED i3 questions

I turned on my AM radio with Bimmercode and it is just as noisy as my other ICE's.

There are a few channels on the AM band that have news and local sports that I am listen to.

Bimmercode will also help with lots of other tweaks to the initial setup from the factory.

Re: New to the i3 and new to EV's

Art, did you consider getting an i3 with seat heaters and then unplugging them? Not really. My goal was to lower my purchase price as much as possible. The MSRP for the heated seats and battery pack option was ~$500. No reason to pay for a useless option. I would have thought that all the seats wou...

Re: North American used i3 price development

Hi Ben, There are hundreds of used ones in Vancouver. The dealerships are bringing them up by the truckload. Not the BMW stores but more of the Honda and Kia stores for some strange reason. Our gas is just under $1.60 per litre so these lower price EV's are getting alot of attention. There are a few...

Re: New to the i3 and new to EV's

In Honolulu the seat heaters are worthless, and I can see why you went to great lengths to get one without them. When I commented about how difficult it was to find an i3 without the heated seat and battery pack option at BMW of Honolulu, my salesman told me that customers loved heated seats becaus...

Re: Clonking Front Suspension

Looks like the coupler has worn out. It is a simple U-joint type of part. They can wear out quickly or last for ever. All depends on how good the manufacturer of the part is. The part runs for about $150 USD and the dealership should be able to install it so it is properly torqued and aligned. Coupl...
