Re: My i3 Got T-Boned

Sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation. Glad nobody got hurt. It seems that the Honda got the worst of this impact. At least on the outside. Like vreihen commented, there may be underlying damage that you can't see. An impact from the side can cause structural damage. Aluminum and Carbon Fib...

Re: GE Wattstation incompatible

Well that just sucks, I guess the only thing else that I could add is; does the unit have some sort of fuse and do you have a multi meter to test the voltage output from the unit?

Re: GE Wattstation incompatible

I have a Level 2 Chargepoint so not that same but I did notice that my buddies Volt would not charge at 7.2 kWH LIKE MY i3 does. It charges at about 3.0 kWh. We tried to fiddle around with the settings in his car and couldn't change it. He was very disappointed to find that the Volt had a charge lim...

Re: Right or Left Rim - How do you tell??

When I got my winter set form BMW, all the wheels are exactly the same direction and size. Black 428's. There is no functional advantage to matching direction according to BMW. I find that a bit challenging because of my OCD! The 430's front and rear sizes are different so those wheels need to wind ...

Re: Brake fluid replacement

Mine is due this month as well.

I bought an extended warranty so I guess I had better make sure it gets done to avoid any issues.

Re: steering Wheel became Hard to turn

Ya, I think I saw it listed on CL. I would love to speak to you about it but just a tad too rich for me. Sorry to hear about your issues. We are loving our used 2015 Rex that came from Cali. Almost a year now and not one glitch to speak of and we use for our business. We have been dealing with BMW i...

Re: i3 versus pedestrians accident near NYC today

I was thinking about the issues that have been floating around with the steering that suddenly wants to turn and if you are not on the ball to fight the steering wheel, the car can turn usually not when it is ideal to. i wonder if under the surface, the steering issue is also to blame. If so, BMW ma...

Re: i3 versus pedestrians accident near NYC today

It looks like this i3 is a newer version based on the silver strip along the hatch.

It is possible that this unit didn't come with the drivers assist options.

I hope that the injuries are not so bad that everyone survives!

On a positive note: The batteries didn't catch on fire!

That is correct RHS is the passenger side. We drive on the right side of the road :) Most of the time.

Re: Rear door open warning

Mine will show the RHS rear door open if I open it and then close it. I have to get out and give it a firm close to make the warning go out. The LHS rear door sensor doesn't seem to be as sensitive.
