The BMS limits the top charge level on all i3 battery packs.
But more so on 60 Ah packs? (Compared to 120 Ah)

Re: Set a maximum charge limit

On a Chech forum they wrote that the max. voltage of the 60 Ah battery is 392 V while the 120 Ah battery is 402 V. The 60 Ah i3 software didn't accept the higher voltage of the replacement battery (120 Ah) as such. This would mean that the cell voltages are about 4.08 V vs. 4.19 V. ? And that the 12...

I agree. The dark Oak looks great.
I've done the same. I was able to order a used set from Norway.

Re: i3 HV Battery Upgrade

I'm interested in 40 kWh battery. But since Finland is quite far away from Maryland, this may not be feasible.
How does your chemistry differ from SDI in terms of degradation when driven and charged in -15 (Celsius) temperatures during winter months?

Re: Charting Battery Capacity/ State of Health Over Multiple Years

I've been wondering how important it really is not to charge the battery full in order to minimize degradation. According to another thread, the max. voltage of the 60 Ah battery is 392 V while the 120 Ah battery has 402 V. This means that the cell voltages are about 4.08 V vs. 4.19 V. The "fully" c...

Re: Retrofit front parking sensors

I installed this kit. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cobra-F0394-Car-Front-Parking-Sensor-Kit-4-Way-17mm-Diameter-Totally-Flush-Mount/122760168695?epid=1942837876&hash=item1c951384f7:g:6OoAAOSwTbRd03ZU As I wrote earlier, I had to modify the original BMW switch and add a delay relay in between. Now, whe...

Re: Retrofit front parking sensors

I installed an aftermarket system and used the original BMW switch for it (bought used from ebay). I had to modify the switch and use a delay relay in between but I'm quite satisfied with the result. The front PDC doesn't show up on my screen but it has a beeper to indicate the distance.

Re: DIY ambilight

There are similar kits for sale on ebay, aliexpress and amazon. I bought one like this but it also included separate leds to illuminate the footwells. For doorpockets, I combined a light source of this kit with a clear plastic piece (original BMW part) that distributes the light inside the pocket. h...
