Re: Few questions after a few weeks of ownership

As has been mentioned, much depends upon the options on your car. My round temp control knob has a display screen in the middle of the button that shows what the temp is set to. I had the car for a while before I discovered that the screen also shows which vents the air should be coming out of. Pres...

Hi! yes we are goin to replace the motor mount in a 2015 not rex, We have a bit of a delay as the equipment we will use is being taken care of, but soon we will start doing it all in one weekend. Give me a couple of days and I'll send everything in PDF to whoever wants.
Excellent! Best of luck!

i will create a PDF guide, in a week the new mount will arrive and upload. We have a 2 months to get it due covid.
@APONTE: Have you moved forward with replacing the motor mount? Since you seem to be breaking new ground doing this yourself, I'm really interested to hear the results.

Paint

Painted the white section beneath the rear bumper of my white/black i3 black. The white always looked out of place to me with the rest of the rear of the car being black. The two tone rear isn't so bad on some of the other color combinations but really sticks out on a white/black car. Love the new l...

Re: My i3 is Dead

Not sure what to say. Mine took about 15-20 minutes to sort itself out after I installed the 12v battery and re-connected the main traction battery. Until then it had warning messages on the screen and couldn't figure out that the traction battery wasn't actually depleted. But after about 15-20 minu...

Re: 20" rims

Unfortunately the only winter solution for those of us with 20's is to also have a spare set of 19's to swap on in the winter. Having said that, I drive mine in the winter with temps down into the 20's (and sometimes into the teens or single digits) as long as there's no snow or ice on the road. Whe...

Re: 20" rims

If you're not liking the looks of the 20's, then I would definitely recommend that you go with the 19's. The 20's only have the option of summer tires while the 19's give you the option of all season tires, which not only work better in cold weather but also wear longer. And yes, the ride is a bit s...

Re: Coding the i3

I had some time to kill tonight so decided to start reading posts to this thread backwards, starting with newest first, and to my surprise, found the answer to my question about setting the clock to auto-correct via GPS was only 1 page in. Post 519. Will give this a try tomorrow. Would still like to...

Re: Coding the i3

Is there a comprehensive list of the things that people have coded and the Bimmercode menu options for each? I have coded a few things on my i3 but am looking for other ideas of successful codes. I use AlphaOBD on my Ram truck and there is a nice list available on one of the forums for those options...

i will create a PDF guide, in a week the new mount will arrive and upload. We have a 2 months to get it due covid. So you are going to do the replacement yourself? I will be very interested in hearing the results and seeing the guide that you are creating. Hopefully I will never have to use it, but...
