Re: Tire Pressures

Huh, I'm confused. I expected to find a chart of 19 vs. 20, i3 vs i3S, REX vs. BEV, but instead I'm just finding one combo for the i3, another for the i3S, and they seem to change from user report to user report, but nowhere am I finding a comprehensive breakdown for what and why.

Re: I Remote app

MyBMW replaced the BMW Connected app in April. I'm not sure about the iRemote app, but the last mentions I see of it are 2016. Maybe Connected replaced it?

MyBMW does show charging status, projected time at which it will reach 100%, and also a charging history.

Re: Spotify with Android phone

BMW may convert you to an Apple user.

Nope, like you noticed Bluetooth gets you track info, skip / pause / back, but no album art or playlist functionality.

I can confirm 2021 is still iDrive 6, unfortunately. (I'm also an Android user.)

Re: i3 won’t charge using L1 chargers but will with L2 Chargers

It's safe to say you've eliminated the EVSE as the culprit. The EVSE indicating it's charging means there's probably no house wiring issue, otherwise it would indicate a fault. It's charging at L2, so I don't believe timed charging is causing this. I'm even tempted to rule out the car's inverter, be...

Have you tried plugging the new L1 into a different receptacle?

Re: “Idle” With A/C OK?

Hey, no problem, EVs required a slightly tweaked mindset after a lifetime of gasoline engine familiarity, customs, best practices, etc. I remember grilling my workplace EV expert (BMW 1-Series ActiveE, followed by a Kia Soul). I couldn't wrap my head around these cars being able to adequately heat t...

Re: My Virgin Charge Was a Nightmare!!!

Inside the rear door sill, under a stryofoam cover, is a manual release for the charging cable lock. I've had to use this once -- it works. And once lock is released, the trigger on the CCS head can be depressed, which (in theory at least) sends a signal back to the DCFC to command it to cease charg...
