Re: What is battery discharging

OK my misunderstanding...I thought you may have connected the battery right at the terminals with the main power cable first connected. My assumption was incorrect then. This just demonstrates that the battery is always in demand even when the i3 has been parked, shut off and doors closed. So this a...

Re: What is battery discharging

You got a spark when you installed the new battery?? I thought there is a YouTube video on this install and you have to disconnect the main power cable first. Maybe you got away with it this time. You could have fried a bunch of expensive electronics!

Re: Tar spot removal

Don' use brake fluid for sure. This probably will crinkle the paint. I would suggest testing a spot with a simple cloth dabbed with paint thinner. If your remember your science class where "like dissolves like". So petroleum products, like tar that comes from petroleum, with be solublized with a pet...

Re: Odd coding problem

These numbers of range seem to bounce around and I figured its the i3's computer estimating your last few miles of driving. So I find the range indicated by the display changes and it confuses me as well. Its not a static number and I think what happens is depending how you were driving the i3, it w...

Re: Parking Assist not available on the 2020 i3 models

I agree that this feature can be problematic. For my point of view, I did not want any of the driver assistance features such as the ACC, lane departure, parking assistance etc. Even the cruise control that we have on both of our cars including the i3s won't be used. The past few vehicles that I had...

Parking Assist not available on the 2020 i3 models

I noticed that my 2020 i3 Rex has a button for parking distance sensors. But the manual that I have indicated that parking assistance is available if there are sensors close to where the front flanges are. My i3s does not have the necessary sensors so I assumed this option is not available on an i3s...

Re: Brake fluid replacement

It is so disappointing to hear stories like this. Probably in reality not just BMW but across the board. I would invest in some tools, use whatever means to educate myself on how to do it myself and plunge into the task myself but that's just me. When I took delivery of my 2020 they offered me an ex...

Re: Reverse camera not working

If the hatch isn't closed fully...the screen will go black but there is an icon in the middle of this black screen indicating this.

Re: Pedestrian warning Noise , in reverse

I just received my 2020 i3S and it has the pedestrian sound (Canadian market). Thought about disabling it but got used to it so it stays.
