Re: Where to find Level 2 home charger ratings/reviews?

I understand your conundrum because I was in the same boat 5 months ago. There are so many choices. Think about what you need first. Do you want it hardwired or transportable? There are many options available. Do your research, ask around, make sure you have it correctly installed (electrically). I ...

Re: Some random thoughts about our i3

Well I have had my i3S REX for 5 months now and haven't been to a gas station yet. It is the first car that I thoroughly look forward to driving every time I get into it. I am an avid motorcyclist and the i3 gives me that same feeling. Its a joy to drive and I belong to a local EV group where there ...

Re: 12 volt battery depleted

The link to the instruction is OK but the actual instructions are not very good. The writers of this document did a lousy job. Not very concise, clear or easy to follow or maybe its me....

Am radio...

OK I tried coding my 2020 i3s for the AM radio because I have some other contacts with 2-3 year old i3's that were able to enable this with Bimmercode. So it doesn't work with a 2020 model. Guess they must have include a AM radio in earlier models (hidden in their hardware) but did not allow casual ...

Re: No Spill 2.5 Gallon container fit in the frunk?

OK now I have read a lot about these Surecan an No Spill gas cans. The No Spill holds 2.5 gallons (10 L) and closer to the fill up I would need for the i3. The Surecan is 2.2 gallons...slightly smaller. Both have dimensions that will fit in the frunk of the i3 (as pictures and thanks to MHK show). B...

Re: Compass in the Mirror

The procedure for calibrating the compass... 1. Make sure that there are no large metallic objects or overhead power lines near the vehicle and that there is sufficient room to drive around in a circle. 2. Set the currently applicable compass zone. 3. Press and hold the control button for ap‐ prox. ...

Compass in the Mirror

I noticed when I tested a 2019 i3 that there was a compass indicator on the right side of the mirror. A small LED that indicated your direction I guess. Well I thought I was going to get this with the 2020 model but I guess not. There is a small hole on the right side of the mirror that suppose to b...

Re: No Spill 2.5 Gallon container fit in the frunk?

Wow what a dangerous situation. Why didn't the gas attendant stop her! Anyway I measured my frunk as 20.5"(L) x 10.5"(W) x 13" (H). The No Spill 2.5 gallon container dimension listed by Amazon are the dimensions of the container in it's card board shipping box. So I finally found the dimension of th...
