Re: Traffic jam assist retro

I'm interested as well - what would the approximate price be for a plug and play module?

Does the module change the functionality of any of the steering wheel buttons?

Re: DC charging, how fast?

That makes sense, the BMW DCFC gave me about 23kW from a dead battery. I used the chargepoint app to check the charge rate (it started to taper off at 80%). The EVGgo I typically use indicates 50kW on the charger, but I get 10kW in 30 minutes every time i go. I dont charge at the DCFC at anything o...

Re: DC charging, how fast?

I can't seem to get much more than 20kW speed out of the EVgo or the BMW ChargeNow systems in South Florida. Anyone else having the same issue? The chargers seem to be rated for 50kW, but I never get that speed. I wonder if EVgo is throttling it down for the free 30 min sessions or if its my car? I...

Re: Jack points

You're correct - the voids inside the lifting pads on the i3 are taller/deeper than any other BMW model I've owned. Thanks for your confirmation! Never having owned a BMW, I was not aware of this difference. That would explain why the jack point adapters that I bought did not work with our i3. The ...

Re: What is my software/firmware version?

Using the deconstruction of the profile file method, I know I have the Nov. update, but I do not get the 'flap open' warning. All to say, the 'flap open' technique may be fine as a general rule but shouldn't be taken as authoritative - esp. if the car has been coded. This is the first I've heard of...

Re: Top half of my ePower semi-circle has gone dark; ltd acc

They might have made minor revisions to the power limiting functionality, but nothing significant. The behavior you're seeing on the instrument cluster has been in place since the early software versions. Perhaps your parking situation has changed? I've had the car limit power after sitting outside ...

Re: Top half of my eDrive semi-circle has gone dark; ltd acc

This is normally due to temperature - it takes a while for the battery to warm up even after the ambient temps increase.

Preconditioning will help prevent this being an issue.
