Re: Metallic rattle sound from passenger side over deep bumps

Sure, here's the file: http://sndup.net/cgfm It can be heard twice. Something must be loose, but I'm not sure where to go hunting. It sounds like it's mostly from the rear, but sometimes it sounds closer to the front. I hear that sound as well in my car. I chalk it up to internal wiring within the ...

Re: HELP: Garage door unprogrammed itself

It's very possible it has something to do with your key or the profile in the vehicle. I am having intermittent issues with my iDrive tiles resetting to their original positions even when I don't use a different key. I can't figure out why but for some reason, the vehicle doesn't retain the profile ...

Re: BEV E-Motor transmission/differential Oil - change?

I'm looking into seeing if the dealer will do this for me...and how much. My E-tran is a little on the louder side than I like...almost sounds like sand paper at low speeds. Re: Set a maximum charge limit

You can limit the charge to 80% via the app but it'll have to be done manually. Rule of thumb...every 1% battery charge takes around 2.8 minutes on a 7.2 kWh charge rate for the 94aH pack. Where can you set a charge limit of 80%? Do you have a screenshot? No you don't set it. You check the charge s...

Looks like they commissioned Tesla to design it. Not a fan of it.

Re: Metallic rattle sound from passenger side over deep bumps

Thanks for your thoughts. I was thinking suspension, but it's not any louder when the windows are down. The sound is definitely eminating from the interior. I took a look at the motor/engine cover and three of the neoprene nuts were destroyed (part #16: https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/images/parts/B...

How do you stay fit and healthy during pandemic?
You act like a normal human being and don't buy into the bullshit.

Re: Metallic rattle sound from passenger side over deep bumps

I wonder how much it would be do to an all-around suspension maintenance on this car...i.e. say it's about 5 years old and change the struts, shocks, top mounts, etc.
