Re: 2017 Bmw i3 gear selector lever replacement

Do you need to replace the entire lever?

61316999578. (from 11/01/2017)
61319364798 (11/01/2015 — 02/26/2018), Bilaterally exchangeable
61316991212 (11/01/2050 — 02/21/2017)

If you need only the end knob you turn to change gears:

Re: Question from Newbie

Check the PlugShare app. The icon on the map that looks like a funnel is the 'Map Filters' menu. Turn off "Requires Fee" to find free chargers. Set "Minimum kilowatts" to 50 or turn on only "CCS/SAE" plugs to find only DC Fast Chargers. With luck, there will be a FREE DC Fast Charger on the way home...

Re: Help ! 12V lighting plus where pick up in the interior

My guess at a solution is to use the power signal to the license-plate lights (or whatever tail lights come on at the desired time) to turn on a relay that switches continuous power to the ambient lights. Check the voltage across the lights and if it isn't battery voltage, it is probably a current-l...

Re: Help ! 12V lighting plus where pick up in the interior

From the diagrams in https://www.facebook.com/groups/BMWi3/permalink/4280574412016387/ it looks like the high-beams and turn signals get power from the Body Domain Controller. The LED low beams get continuous power from the fuse box in the passenger footwell and are switched on and off with CAN Bus ...

Re: Missing Tire Inflator

What about looking for this one to replace it? https://www.bmwpartswholesale.com/oem-parts/bmw-tire-sealant-replacement-71100415041 They won't ship it but it seems awfully cheap given the actual replacement tire inflator is over $100: https://www.bmwpartswholesale.com/oem-parts/bmw-air-compressor-7...

Re: Rex Problem!

Does the "Check Engine / Malfunction Indicator" light come on? Have you checked with an OBD-II reader for trouble codes? They might provide useful detail.

Re: Suggestions on getting my i3 from Dealer to Home on i5 LA-SAC

The "ABRP" app (A Better Route Planner) shows a travel time of nine hours and seven minutes from LA to Sacramento. That includes five charging stops and a total of two and a half hours of charging. The charging stops are chosen for you based on your car's capability. The PlugShare app will let you p...

Re: Snappier Acceleration Off The Line

I find that baffling since they are able to make ICE vehicles with 4 times the power of this car and not seem to have drivetrain issues. It doesn't make sense to me as to why they can't make it work They CAN make it work, but not with the design of the original part. We'll probably never know why t...
