Re: OBD port relocation (insurance demand)

Is this for some sort of "Pay As You Drive" Insurance where you get a discounted rate if they are allowed to track your usage? If not, then what is going on? This is not a normal request. EDIT: Never mind, just saw your post on the FB Worldwide group about this. You are in Central Europe and for som...

Re: Portable charging blinking red on indoor outlet but working on outdoor outlet

The Red light means Ground Fault. It could not detect a path to Ground in the circuit. The GFCI plug worked because, like the charger, it needs a Ground to function properly. They may be on the same circuit but perhaps the GFCI outlet has a separate Ground wire? You should get an Electrician to conf...

Re: Resonant hum

Since the "hum" only occurs when you are decelerating, is it possible there is some loose wheel well cowling that, when moving forward is pushed back, but when braking and weight shifted forward, somehow contacts the tire or rotor? Perhaps the infamous deteriorating strut boots are falling apart and...

Re: Instrument cluster - questions

1: I don’t know 2: Settings->Language/Units->Distance: mi or km (select one) 3: I don’t know 2. I set this to „km” and range are in km, but speed appears with miles and km at the same time. Interesting. I just tested this while driving before I replied. I changed mine from Miles to Km then back. If...

Re: TMPS not working

I'm pretty sure there is a sensor in each wheel well.
Did you drive a few miles after resetting? When I change from Winter to Summer wheels/tires it takes a few miles of driving before the actual reset occurs and there is a percentage display that shows how far along the reset is as I drive.

Re: Remote lock/unlock and Climatization doesn't work

When I bought my 2017 BEV last November and added it to my CONNECTED account there was a disclaimer that it "could" take up to 3 days to become active. It was activated within an hour in my case, but perhaps it will take longer in your case for whatever reason. What year is the car?

Re: Battery discharging while Stationary

I have noticed that the high-voltage system remains on for at least 30 minutes after I unlock the doors of our 2014 i3. During that time, the 12 V battery is almost always being charged because the 12 V system voltage is ~14.3 V. Especially after having driven recently, I have seen the DC-DC conver...

Re: Battery discharging while Stationary

But I understand that it maintains its full charge by being topped up from the HV and this happens when any of the doors or front or back hatches are opened. Nope. Just like an ICE car, it is just draining the 12v when you open the door and the interior lights come on. If you close the door(s) or l...

Re: Set a maximum charge limit

So my questions to you are: 1. What do you find personally insulting if somebody wants to limit their charging to 80%? 2. What data do you have to be so certain the 80% recommendations are wrong and the "always be charging" mentality has no consequences, even if minimal? Hopefully more than a meme ...
