This is very useful to know. What is covered under an emission warranty is a bit ambiguous. In PZEV states the REX models in particular have a wide range of items covered under emissions warranty.

I assume you mean latest i4? The i3 doesn't have a setting to limit to 80%.

It is definitely an impressive car, but it is not their best effort. It doesn't have any advancements or major contribution to the status quo. It was OK if it was released 5 years ago. Now it feels outdated before even the first units ship to customers.

Keep in mind that for BMW i4 97.1% of the battery is usable. For i3 it is about 90%. The i3 battery is also high cobalt, which helps with longevity. Gen 5 models use lower cobalt battery chemistry.
