Re: Moved to snow country - Need i3 snow tire knowdedge

Hello, I recently bought a set of Riall 19 inch black alloy wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks from Tire Rack to go on my 2019 i3S (20 inch) during the winter. These come all mounted and balanced with the TPMS installed and ready to bolton. You can also get a factory wheel kit from BMW at close to the...

i3S and Tire rack snow tires/Riall wheels

A recent posting here claimed that i3S owners who bought Tire Rack Riall wheels and snow tires would need 25mm spacers front and rear to use these wheels safely. Tire Rack claims not and they were right. The poster was misinformed. I have just got back from Mr Tire with my 2019 i3S and tested a whee...

Re: door switch

I have a similar garage with a canoe against one wall and very sharp angles to enter and exit. I hung strips of red surveyor's tape from nails in the rafters with metal washers knotted into the ends to dangle and serve as markers to guide me into the space. I just position the nose of car between th...

Re: Roof Racks

I have not yet tried the canoe, but I did find that Yakima cross bar cleats work just fine on the Seasicker bars. I should know about the bars with canoe in another week and will post.

J adaptors to Tesla chargers

Does anyone have an recommendations for the J adaptors to fit a Tesla Destination charger. such as Lectron? Has anyone used these at a Tesla charging facility? Any thoughts would be most appreciated as far as widening the number of places one can charge a 2019 i3 with 32 amp and DC capability. Thanks

Re: Floor liners for i3 and i3s the same?

I bought Weathertech rear compartment mat for my i3S and it fit fine. If you want to use the tie down loops you have to cut out little squares on the mat. Very well made product.

Re: New i3s (with pics) now what winter wheels/tires?

Could anyone clarify this statement about winter snow tire packages "[Option #2]: ~$1.5k from Tiretrack mounted and shipped: RIAL X10-I wheels (19x5 Finish: Black Painted Offset: 43mm, TPMS Kit) and BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK LM-500 tires. But you'll also need a 10mm spacer in the front and a 15mm spacer i...

Re: New i3s (with pics) now what winter wheels/tires?

I have an i3s and bought a set of Riall German made wheels from Tire rack with the narrow Blizzaks all around. The wheels are described as 43 mm offset. The wheels appear to be the same front and rear and I am in effect putting narrower tires on the rear. So as I understand it I would have even more...

Roof Racks

I recently purchased the Seasucker Monkey Bars cross bar set for my i3S in order to carry a canoe. While the weather has been too iffy recently to try this out, I wanted to mention that the Seasucker is extremely well made and confidence inspiring. It is also made in the US. The cross bars are quite...
