Re: charging plug will not release from my i3

Er, isn't this a bad Idea? It means someone can walk off with your charge lead in the middle of the night while you are sleeping. Especially if like mine your EVSE doesn't lock the other end either. The last thing i want is the i3 unlocking whrn complete. I was thinking maybe it's for public chargin...

Re: Ordered!

..... Adding them yourself can be at best described as "painful" as it doesn't seem to want to let you add map locations to the address book unless they have an actual address. So you have to find the rougt location were you know theres a CCS point, look for POI in the vicinity, (like the hotel or ...

Re: Ordered!

DAP isn't a gimmick. Now I be used it for a couple of days I'd never have a car without it. It hasnt got Lane departure, its better than that..Here's what I stuck in my Facebook tonight... 2 days with the car. It's epic. Really is the future. 60 miles coming back from Northampton tonight. I only had...

Re: Ordered!

Can I make one suggestion - if you can change your order drop the pro media - and get Active cruise. Not impressed with the idrive or the nav. Not for £960! You'd be better off getting an ipad with a sim card and having it installed! The "charging station list" only includes 7kW Chargenow network no...

Re: REx Life?

I've had mine two days and the REX has done about 150 miles of the 320 miles I've stuck on it. I'll let you know in a weeks time if I need a replacement as I'm doing 120 miles per day ;-). Just under half on the REX as I don't have workplace charging. Best to stick to 65 on fast roads to stop the SO...

Re: Ordered!

I hope you ordered a REX - coz if you are doing more than 50-60 miles per day you will get stressed about charging. I got mine 2 days ago - and do 120 mile round trip commute. The car is great but with no workplace charging I've been disappointed all the CCS chargers are out of action. Tried Chievel...

Re: Making the car easier to clean

My cars get washed when it rains...... What are the benefits to a washed car, do they run better? Not in my experience. Do they get better range/mileage? Again, not as far as I can tell. Does it improve resale value? Probably if you do it an hour or two before you sell it, perhaps. But I have a lea...

Re: Heated windscreen washers?

i just found out from the i3 FB page there's an owners manual app for ios and android. BMW Drivers guide for BMW i. You need the last 7 digits of your vin and it will download the right manual for your car. I got mine about 2 months before build date. .. So it will give you something to read whilst ...

Re: UK EVSE Install

Aha... thanks guys. I got confused as rolec do sell an optional extra which is a little wheeled meter that sits in the EVSE point. I've just been out to look in my meter box and theres a whopping great big smart meter in there. At least I know now its a proper accurate meter not a guestimate. So can...

Re: misting interior

I believe the OP is describing a normal situation that occurs when a car from the relative warmth of a garage suddenly hits colder ambient air. I've noticed similar behavior with mine now that cooler temps have arrived (never gets truly cold here on the edge of the Pacific). There have been a handf...
