Re: UK Order v Delivery Dates

Just got notified that my delivery date is pushed from the 1st week of January to the 1st/2nd week of February. On a happier note, here's a map of currently active CCS rapid chargers in Ireland: https://mapsengine.google.com/map/u/0/viewer?hl=en&mid=zVDgdgMW7RMA.kduTOkI5y3ts A further two CCS charge...

Re: UK Order v Delivery Dates

My only other piece of buyers remorse is if I should add the DC Rabid charge- which I can barely see me using, even when the rollout of fast chargers becomes the norm. WIthout DC rapid your i3 will set records for fast depreciation. I can't even understand why it's an option, it should be standard.

Re: UK Order v Delivery Dates

Complained to BMW and now my order status has moved to 1100. I've just also changed my order to a BEV from a REX. After getting a bit pissed off with BMW I got a Nissan Leaf last wednesday, and put 1500km on the clock in the last week, inc. a couple of long 250-300km inter-city trips. Got a lot more...

Re: UK Order v Delivery Dates

That makes no sense. Our order was assigned a production date as soon as they hit 'submit' on our order. Literally right in front of us, the same day we paid our deposit. I placed a €2000 deposit on August 22nd for a REx with all the boxes ticked. I think they're just complacent because I can't buy...

Re: UK Order v Delivery Dates

I'm in Ireland. Ordered Late August, Delivery estimate is January 2015. Dealer gave me a couple of wildly different dates as the "production date". Today I asked for a clear date. Guess what? They were just feeding me bullshit and my production week hasn't been assigned. :( http://s4.postimg.org/jo...

Re: UK Order v Delivery Dates

Unfortunately, EV charging infrastructure isn't that much of a priority where I live and I'm pretty fine charging at fast AC home and work. The only two CCS chargers I know are not along my commute but useful if I need to travel. The strategy of the council is to place AC in car parks and DC on tra...

J1772 to Type 2

Got a loaner i3 for a few days and I unfortunately discovered that the chargers fitted to my building have a captive five-pin J1772 cable.

Is there an adapter available (or even possible) that would allow me to use these with the i3's type 2 port?

Re: Car LTE Hotspot

Ios8 allows you to turn tour iphone into hotspot if i am not wrong Exact opposite of what I'm doing. I connect my phone/tablet/macbook/ereader/OBDII etc. to the car hotspot. My phone and tablet then don't need to maintain an active data connection to the cell network , battery life is maintained be...
