Re: How Many Miles Do the Tires Last?

On my 2014 Rex, I've got 27000+ miles. The tires still look pretty good with the fronts somewhat better than the rears. I'd say 10000 more miles for the rear and 15000 for the front. I do mostly freeway driving. Wow! This is much better than what I've heard. Do you know exactly which tires you have...

Re: Low Cost Charging out of whack

I've had my i3 for about 3 weeks now and using the BMW (Bosch) charger at home every evening. I've set up the car to use Low Cost Charging and, until last night, it was working perfectly. This morning I realized the charge state was only 16% so it clearly did not charge last night. Tonight I plugge...

Re: couple of gremlins before i call the dealer

My Nav screen rebooted once in 19000 miles. I was pretty surprised to see this because obviously it shouldn't do this. Don't know if it logs an error code if this happens but it would be pretty hard to prove otherwise. If it did it often I would definitely contact the dealer.

Re: Charging error?

I believe Jim was asking you to clarify whether your charging error occurs only with one EVSE, maybe the one that you own, or whether this error occurs no matter which EVSE you use, yours at home, public chargers, or maybe an EVSE at work. As Jim stated, some EVSE models don't work well with delaye...

Re: Option Stonger Battery

If you didn't use the car on a regular basis and it was not connected to an EVSE, there are still drains on the battery...having a 'stronger' one might allow it to go longer before you ran into issues. Throw in the potential of super cold periods, and a larger battery could be handy as well. Lead a...

Re: Immediate charging even when off-peak charging is schedu

We have discussed this issue at length on this forum. Here is what is going on. Bottom line is our car is smarter than what you all are giving "her" credit for. When you enable smart time of day charging and you plug in 110V EVSE, the car still calculates the end time and if your end is beyond your...

Re: Immediate charging even when off-peak charging is schedu

Yesterday, I came home around 9pm. My i3 Rex had 53 miles of electric range remaining. I plugged in my occasional use charger, expecting the solid blue illumination indicating the charge would be paused until the off-peak time range was reached. Instead, the blue light was blinking, indicating char...

Fantastic detective work!

Does anyone know if this coding gets blown away never to be recoded again once the new software is installed with the improved KLE?

Re: Level 2 not delivering 6.6kwh‏

I have the original KLE and software update to limit charge current and have had the car for over 6 months. There's a Chargepoint system at work where I charge every day. I don't recall ever seeing charging much higher than about 5.4kw (with the Chargepoint App) even though I know my car will charge...
