Re: Adjusting low-beam headlights

As far as I understand, the LED headlights in the US are not adaptive and they do NOT adjust either up and down, or side to side. Does anyone have any additional information? I can see my headlights doing some sort of adjustment, aiming downward and then rotating up to their final position every ti...

Re: REX reliability

Sounds like a BEV would've worked for you. ;) I knew someone was going to say that. ;) Up to now, yes. It was a tough choice (I really wanted the BEV) but with a 75 mile round trip commute to work at 75mph for almost 70 of those miles it was too close for comfort given all the unknowns. No 3 day te...

Re: REX reliability

I've had my REx over 4 months and 6000+ miles and have never used the REx but have gone through 3 maintenance cycles. Fortunately it appears to be working as expected but the worst time to test something is when you actually need it so you make a good point. But there's no guarantee that something w...

Re: Another tuner i3.

FWIW, some states are considering a road tax on EV's based on mileage driven, since they generally are not paying any road taxes. If implemented, that would take away some of the cost incentives, but if you look at the initial purchase incentive, you'd have to drive a LOT of miles to have it end up...

Re: Fast forward/reverse of MP3 track

Thanks to all. I guess I didn't notice those buttons since they are so far away for us with left hand drive vehicles. I'd have like them closer (on the far left side) for easier reach. Do I sense a bit of Right Hand Drive Centrism here on the part of BMW?

Re: Charging in the rain

I imagine this has been well thought out by BMW (maybe not given the charging issues I'm having- but that's another topic) but I'm wondering if there would be any problem charging outdoors in the rain. There isn't any rain shield above the charging port and am concerned about water getting into the...

Fast forward/reverse of MP3 track

I have not been able to figure out how to fast forward or reverse through an MP3 track. Sometimes I want to go back 10 seconds or so and replay. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm really hoping it is possible.

regards,
Neil

Re: Delayed Charging mode.

Just a followup on this topic. Tonight I had another charging fault, similar to the one I posted from a few days ago. Didn't mess with it. Just waited for my low cost charging time and set it to immediate charging mode. Charging now for about an hour... Yes, when I unlocked the car I saw the charger...

Re: Delayed Charging mode.

I am also using a Clipper Creek HCS 40. Does yours kick on when you open the car door or trunk and it is plugged in? I see some serious bizarre behavior. Wish I'd known about this problem, I would have purchased a different charger with a timer in it and not counted on the car. I can't say I've not...
