Re: BMW i3 To Get 43.2 kWh Battery Pack In Late 2018 (Rumor)

I was looking forward to maybe purchasing the new i3 Sport and now I'll have to wait for the higher KWh battery pack. At least I'll arrange a weekend test drive of the i3s in November and wait for another year. Depends on what your actual needs are. Just like in computers, especially in the beginni...

I really like BMW's gas/petrol range extender just for its piece of mind when away driving past its stored battery milage. I would rather drive home on petrol than having to wait round for the battery to charge and even worse if their's EV's ahead waiting to charge.

Re: Software Update

I asked my dealer last month to up date the cars map as the car has 3 free map updates every year for 3 years but he told me it wasn't included with my car. Once I showed him BMW's iPhone app which shows the free mapping updates for my car he soon changed his view and updated the map for free. You d...

Re: Software Update

"He responded with a question: "Which software was it that needed to be updated?" This dealer is a real tool and I wouldn't use him. I would send a complaint to BMW head office about this dealer. These are technical updates and can easily be seen if required by the dealer logging into your key at se...

Re: Rear bike carrier

This is what I like other than having the rear backing censers not turned off, but this could be as easy as BMW updating the i3 computer and using a BMW wiring harness.

This is the steel installed tow bar not the bike rack.

Re: i3 Test Drive

Bad news as the i3 drivers seat is the deal breaker due to the slope of the bottom seat courses a lot of pain to my upper back and lower neck. The bottom seat slopes back and I need the seat bottom to be totally flat or slopped forward a little. I did notice this yesterday but I thought I could adju...
