I ran the tank dry til the rex died and filled up squeezing 2.3 gallons in the tank. turned on the rex and began driving . the fuel range read 85 miles and stayed there for 20 miles. the fuel tank bars did not ...

Re: Coding the i3

Actually, the "frunk is open" bong is the one bong that I find useful. Given the position of the frunk opening switch on the key fob, I find that is all too easy to accidentally (and unknowingly) open the frunk while the key fob is in my pocket. And I would rather learn that the frunk is open from ...

Re: Extended test drive and...Did you know?

I have, there is even a symbol on the column where to hold it up to. That's there for other reasons, though. I've never heard of needing to hold the key up there just because you removed the key from the car while it was on - and I do this all the time. I'm not arguing the reasons for the symbol be...

Re: Coding the i3

Anyone want to attempt to find (and disable) the frunk bong? When you pop the hatch, no bong, when you open either door, no bong, when you open the charging flap no bong, when you open the REx fuel filler flap (AKA Freedom Flap!) no bong, why is there a bong for the frunk?

Re: Extended test drive and...Did you know?

An EV is still a depreciating asset, if your worried about ROI, your looking into the i3 for the wrong reasons, keep the car you have now. I'm betting against BMW with my lease, have you seen recent headlines of Nissan offering Leaf Lessee's $5k off their residual to keep their Leaf? I also read a p...

Re: BMW i3 Trade-in value - surprisingly depressing

OP - If you purchased then I'm sorry you are see'ing such a low value for your car. On the other hand, for those of us that leased, I sure hope this is an indication that BMW's residuals are WAY off and that they will offer us big discounts to keep our cars at the end of lease. I sure hope to buy mi...

Re: comfort access - erm, how?

Mine has a delay, but it is ever so slight. I've trained myself to wait to pull until I hear the door unlock. I bet it would be difficult going between two cars that act differently.

Re: comfort access - erm, how?

^ interesting. This is my first car with CA and after a very short learning curve I haven't had any issues with it. Mine likes all 4 fingers in the handle that was really about as much as there was for me to learn really.

Re: Coding the i3

Could you code one set to be Regen lights and the other to be traditional brake lights? Or are they already that way? I have no idea what is going on back there! The brake lights come on once a certain degree of regen (or a threshold of aggressiveness from the regen) is reached. I've seen this at n...
