Re: Avoiding a Total Loss with Accident Prevention Technolog

Of course I'll be sure to double check the settings to ensure it does have the frontal collision prevention system, but it has the technology package so it should. Although BMW should really make safety features like this standard for the good of all like Tesla does. To clarify, I had read that the...

Re: Complete Paint Protection (DIY)

I've driven my i3 for 2+ years now. The factory-standard paint remains in excellent condition. None of the parking lot dings or chips that are typical with metal body vehicles. In my experience, the only ones who benefit from the assorted paint sealant schemes are the people selling them. Save your...

Re: 2017 i3 BEV

See the little picture of the car on the upper left hand corner? It is the same shape/drawing as the early 2015+ i3 key fobs, the shape is of an i8, not an i3. I'm not sure if that fob is optional or if the car only comes with one, and then the secondary key is the other type, usually vehicles come ...

Yes.

A member/owner on the FB group did it, it was very expensive as he lives in Australia.

Re: Help. 2015 I3 stuck in "Neutral" -- won't shift into Pa

That seems very dangerous to continue driving while waiting on the part. I would demand a loaner from BMW.

Re: Battery charge indicator range increases 20%

Yes, with the March 2016 software update there seems to be more range in my car, others are reporting the same on the FB group. Prior to the update my car had a "lifetime" consumption of 3.5mi/kWh, "lifetime" meaning since the last software update which was done in August of 2015. The update was com...

Re: Coding the i3

That's what I figured, but v.58.1_PSdZData_Lite is the latest I could find... I think it only get's to the Nov update... how long till the new one shows up after an update is released? I use bimmerfest for my coding software needs, just join their forum, go to the coding forum and there is a sticky...

Re: New Motor Mount bolts

Plenty have broken their motor mount bolts, one BEV owner broke his 3 times, got the car bought back. By "motor mount" they mean the electric motor as far as I understand, not what is mounting the REx engine. So using your REx most likely had nothing to do with it, most reported breaking their motor...

Re: 2017 i3 BEV

Wow, really? Early 2015 they switched the key fobs on the i3, the i3 now uses the i8 key fobs with the hatch button in place of the i3 fobs with the frunk button. My car is a March 2015 build and it has i8 fobs, it also has comfort access so I actually would prefer the original i3 fobs with the frun...

Re: 3.5 mi/kwh

My car has increased from 3.5mi/kWh to 4.2mi/kWh after the last software update. It has been a few months and a few thousand miles so something must be different, I still drive it like its stolen. So if you haven't had the software updated on the car, I would suggest it, if your dealer needs a reaso...
