Re: i3 Rear Tire not available until 2/15 (4 weeks!)

There has been a shortage of these for a while. My local tire shop has been trying to get a pair of rear 19" tires for over 2 months now. Meanwhile I'm driving in winter conditions on nearly bald tires. Good thing I have a backup vehicles for really snowy days. At the rate these tires wear out, ther...

Re: Power in Cold Weather

I nitoced the power band meter was reduced one cold morning when I was driving to work, first time I noticed this. Didn't really notice a reduction in power but I was driving conservatively. I've driven in colder conditions and haven't noticed this on the display. Did not precondition the car before...

Re: Before you buy or lease an i3 Be Aware of the Tire Problem

My rears are almost like slicks after 15k miles. I have enjoyed the high torque of the car but I have taken all corners conservatively (being conscious of tread wear) and it's not like I'm "burning rubber" when I take off. The car I leased was the demo car at the dealer so I believe the tires were a...

Average mi/kWh for 94 Ah i3

Now that the new i3 with the larger battery pack has been on the road for a little while now, I'm curious what some drivers are getting for average miles/kWh. According to the iRemote app the community average is currently 3.9 mi/kWh, which includes both BEV and REx models and both 60 Ah and 94 Ah o...

Re: Anyone considering with a lease expiring soon considering the Bolt as an alternative to a 2017 I3?

I'm going to check out the Bolt before my lease expires in October. I won't rule out another i3 though given the longer range, which may be sufficient for most of my needs. One thing I really like about the i3 is BMW's sustainability efforts with the production, materials used, and efficiency of the...

Re: Well that was not fun . . .

I've read some posts about a recall for the motor mount screws (bolts are technically a screw that uses a nut for tightening) but I'm wondering if I can have the dealer replace these if I haven't received an official recall letter from BMW, or if there is an official recall. I did receive a letter f...

It appears they have fixed the problem. I can see my current information in the iRemote & Connected apps.

Re: Question on base sound system

I think it depends on whether you're willing to wait for it and spend the extra money. I was lucky enough to get an i3 with the HK upgrade since the dealer was trying to get rid of inventory and I'm glad I have it. The HK system has sufficient full range sound and I have played it really loud and it...

Re: iRemote not updating

I just installed the BMW Connected NA App and it does not contain all of the same features and functionality as the iRemote app. I can't even get the preconditioning (departure time) to work in this app, I can just activate climate control. Kind of useless with the missing functions and the fact tha...

Re: iRemote not updating

Have same/similar problem noted on these posts - last update consistently shows 11/30/16 with no ability to track charge status. Uninstalled & reinstalled app with no resolution. As previously noted still can precondition and lock car. (Am taking into dealer for a software update I received notific...
