Re: DIY: Highbeam Headlamp Replacement / Upgrade

I can confirm it's an upgrade definitely worth doing. Re: iphone 5 vs USB

I have always just plugged iPhone into the BMW USB to charge and paired with bluetooth as well without any problems. When you say intermittent bleeps, do you mean randomly whilst it is connected or when you connect it first? Normally the iPhone bleeps to signify it is commencing battery charging. Is...

USB charger supply into armrest

Far prefer to charge my iPhone inside the armrest like the previous generation of phone cradles. Ii stops it flying around so much and more importantly, if I should forget to take it with me, it's securely out of sight rather than sitting in the centre console!

Re: Seat Belt buckle Retainer

Just ordered a pack of the clips today when I took the loaner back ready to fit on my yet to be born i3. The belt was already driving me nuts for two reasons. Firstly as noted by others, the buckle rests down by the floor for some unknown reason. Secondly, the driver's belt was twisted somehow. It w...

Re: Make the regen intensity a user adjustable item in i-dri

Spent the last two days driving the loan car. As has been mentioned by others on the forum, there is a noticeable difference in the regeneration intensity depending on the SoC. Much stronger once the regeneration can actually store power somewhere quickly. That said, a competent driver should be abl...

Re: Charging, preconditioning and favourable charging period

Unfortunately not. If you're below around 15% SoC when you plug in, the car starts charging immediately (presumably to protect the battery from being in a low SoC for too long). It will continue until 100% without pause. If you want to use low cost (UK:off peak) power, you need to stop it charging ...

Charging, preconditioning and favourable charging period

Been reading the owners handbook and I can't recall having seen a discussion on this point. I'm not clear from reading the manual what the answer is so looking for any guidance. I understand how the precondioning works I.e. The car starts charging and preconditioning to hit the set departure time. W...

Re: Now the waiting begins

Congratulations. I've got 2 months yesterday as my delivery date and I can't wait for the time to pass. Mind you, Mr Nice Man BMW has agreed to let me have one this coming weekend to test my Rolec charger installation. Can't help feeling he's just teasing me though

Re: Music collection shuffle option?

Not got my i3 yet, but it's normally on the right menu options once you're playing and viewing music from the music collection. Trying pushing the iDrive to the right and access the menu looking for random.
