What's the least and most range per full charge 60ah,94ah,120ah

I know this might not apply to a lot on the forum, but I was curious to those that drive the i3 hard, what's the least amount of miles you've been able to get per charge. I've got a 2019 120ah, and no matter how hard I punish it, I cant get less than 110 miles, with SOC still around 10-12%, AMAZING!...

Re: Questions from a near-future buyer

Don't quote me, but I think the '17s came in both flavors, as I recall seeing listings for both 94ah and 60ah models for 2017.

Re: Preconditioning last minute adjustment?

If its heat you're looking to combat. you don't need to precon the battery. The battery loves hotter temps vs colder. So if the app works for you, just leave your climate settings the way you want (ie AC @ 65F ), and once you click the activate climate now button via app, it will begin cooling the c...

Re: Preconditioning last minute adjustment?

No, the precon system is very elementary. If you can get to the app before the precon kicks in, you can change times from there, and advance it by any amount. The 3 hour requirement is if you also want the batteries heated and precon'd as well at departure time. Otherwise you'll just be heating/cool...

Re: Things I Dislike About My i3

I can add a few things. There is absolutely zero data available to the driver. I mean you've got a huge display. They could have dedicated one page to analytics. And I dont mean their stupid star grading system which is rubbish. Proper data. How much power did you collect on your last plug up. How m...

Re: 175 19" ep500 vs ep600 tires for i3

Not contradictory The contact patch width would increase but its length would decrease to keep the area unchanged. The contact patch area is the product of the contact patch width and length. It's also the weight supported by the tire divided by the inflation pressure. So you could calculate the co...

Re: Battery Pre-Conditioning

Setting Battery Pre-Conditioning vs Just Charging 30 mins before departure The below post looks like Just Charging 30 mins before departure is the way to go as charging warms up the battery. This sounds like it would work well in So Ca where Im at, but maybe not in some of the really cold states ??...

Re: 175 19" ep500 vs ep600 tires for i3

Is this contradictory to other posts? or am I not getting the science behind it. Not contradictory and adding 175mm to fronts would increase the width x the length of the patch correct? The contact patch width would increase but its length would decrease to keep the area unchanged. Is it a formula ...

Re: 175 19" ep500 vs ep600 tires for i3

The wider the tire, the wider the contact patch. Wider patches tend to benefit changes of direction. Longer patches benefit traction and braking. A narrower tire will have less drag, and, in snow, 'float' less, giving you a better chance of keeping moving (this is one reason why the winter tires ar...
