Re: Hold state of charge vs. normal US REX operation

One risk of NOT using HSOC at a value higher than 6.5%: If the REx should fail you only have about 6-8 miles to get to a charger before your battery can't move the car. I think I would set it to 20% around here and maybe higher in areas where chargers are more scarce.

I agree that displaying regenerative braking could be done in much more useful units. How about a ratio of how much regeneration happened vs. how much regeneration COULD have happened if the brakes were not used. A value near 100% would mean you were regenerating every bit of momentum possible. Low ...

It looks like Speedway Motors has 18" and 17" wheels that are 8" wide and that they think will fit on a 2017 i3.

Re: Swapped 12v battery. Still drain error showing.

Draw is still happening. I've fondled underneath the driver's side seat but haven't ran into any specific module which seems warmer than other components. I would try under the REAR seat. That is where you find the entertainment/navigation system. Do you have anything plugged into any of the power ...

Re: Plugless wireless charging system?

Wireless charging would be great for me. I live in a condo. I don't know if the Board of Trustees will ever approve a charging station on a post near my parking spot and they certainly won't let me run a thick extension cord across the lawn and sidewalk. If the charging coil could be flush with the ...

Re: Chronometer (Hour Meter) on the REX

From “12-W20 Engine.pdf”: 10.3. Maintenance work As the combustion engine in the BMW I01 is not permanently used, the servicing is reduced to a minimum. Engine oil with filter is only required after a time interval of 10,000 miles / 12 months or depending on the operating hours of the combustion eng...
