Re: Servicing i3 REx

The Rex engine is the same one that BMW installs in their C650gt maxi-scooter https://www.webbikeworld.com/bmw-c-650-gt-review/ The C650 GT maintenance schedule shows changing the sparkplugs when mileage on the engine reaches 40,000 km (24,000 miles). https://www.webbikeworld.com/bmw-scooter-mainten...

What other reason could that square slot be for?
It is for an additional cup holder.

Re: Brake light indication in the car

I'm with Jim, some sort of indicator light that lets you know when the brake lights are being activated is needed. I like the Tesla idea of the visual car, which lets you know the status of any lights, or could be as simple as having the charge indicator light/square that slides back and forth on th...

Re: Newbie Question - Finding miles used with ReX !

Eureka!

So, though the ConnectDrive App doesn't show total electric miles driven, the ConnectDrive web page does, under:
Status > eDrive services > Efficiency

Thanks guys!

Re: Newbie Question - Finding miles used with ReX !

Looks like both apps are needed.
Yup, and unfortunately it looks like BMW has removed iRemote from both the Apple App Store, and Google Play. Hopefully future updates to ConnectedDrive will add in the missing stats access for us new owners.

Re: Newbie Question - Finding miles used with ReX !

Well, found my problem. Assumed ConnectedDrive and iRemote were the same, Seems BMW iRemote has been discontinued, and these "deeper dive" stats are not available in ConnectedDrive (at least not yet)

Re: Newbie Question - Finding miles used with ReX !

You can use iRemote to find out electric miles
Wow - cool info - or would be - does not seem to be an option on my iRemote. No choice for statistics on the Efficiency screen. Wonder if the app varies by country??

Re: Newbie Question - Finding miles used with ReX !

It would need to be in "hours of operation" , not mileage, as the Rex doesn't drive the car's wheels, it powers an electric generator to add charge to the car's battery pack, to extend the car's range. Looking at the service manual for the Rex engine itself, don't see any reference any kind of recor...

Re: Factory 2015 i3 EVSE "power fault" lit up, covered under factory warranty?

But, if you have a 15A supply and circuit breaker, unless it was run with 12g wire, you SHOULD NOT install a 20A receptacle, as you could overload the wiring opps, Thanks for adding that, I should have put that in. Most house wiring done or upgraded in the last 15 - 20 years should be on 20 amp bre...

Re: Factory 2015 i3 EVSE "power fault" lit up, covered under factory warranty?

Their are reports from more than a few owners of these units failing withing a year or two with any steady use. They seem to be a copy of the one built by Clipper Creek - but manufactured by Delphi Auto Parts. I'd try your Dealership - but I've seen postings where the Dealer refused to replace them,...
